The cemetery in Drawsko Pomorskie (formerly Dramburg), site number 4, was discovered in 1906 during sand and gravel extraction for the construction of a narrow-gauge railway. At that time, artefacts were collected from several graves that had been destroyed by earthworks. Further discoveries were made in 1907, 1909, and 1910. During this period, Adolf Stubenrauch (1855–1922), the heritage conservator in Szczecin, conducted rescue excavations, recording eight burials. Graves continued to be uncovered between 1922 and 1939. Subsequent excavations aimed at securing the site and its artefacts were carried out by Dr Bernhard Faust (1888–1959), a local teacher, amateur archaeologist, and the official State Custodian of Antiquities (*Kreispfleger für Bodenaltertümer*) for the former Drawsko district. Today, approximately 70 graves have been identified at the Drawsko Pomorskie cemetery. The iron fibula on display, classified as Variant N according to the typology of Józef Kostrzewski (1885–1969), originates from a destroyed cremation grave at the Drawsko Pomorskie cemetery. Archival records from the *Pommersches Landesmuseum in Stettin* (the predecessor of the National Museum in Szczecin) documenting the site's earliest discoveries assigned the grave in which the fibula was found inventory number 5944, though no specific archaeological object number was given. Besides the exhibited fibula, the same grave assemblage originally included two other fibulae, one of a similar type, which have since been lost. The grave was also reported to contain two vessels, a clay spindle whorl, and a fragment of an iron sickle. However, it is quite likely that the artefacts attributed to grave 5944 actually originated from several different destroyed cremation burials. Bartłomiej Rogalski
