Part of the collection: The family memorabilia of Justmans and Włodawers
A letter from the Warsaw ghetto to Asino, to Paulina Włodawer from the Justmans: her sister - Regina, mother - Miriam (notes on the last page and – the conclusions – at the first page), sister - Bluma (note on the first page) and Aron (note on the last page). Also a note: ‘Regards from Pinek. Asino. Włodawer ‘ (last two words underlined). Regina Justman signals that two days ago they received the first package. ‘My one and only!’ - she writes to her sister. – 'Your letters are deeply touching and very beautiful. I am more than grateful for them, more than you think and their importance to us - especially for me - is huge. I would like to answer you in a similar tone and reassure you about our fate, just as you reassured me about yours. [...] not much has changed for the worse so far; and that's a lot, that's all I require now. Because you see, one can stand everything, you can get used to everything [with] time, but the worst thing is this uncertainty, living in a constant strain, in a constant tension of nerves, in a constant anticipation of an impact or a catastrophe’’.
