Painting by an unidentified painter made in the first half w. of the 18th century (?); oil/canvas, wood. Acquired from the collection of the Potocki family of Łańcut in 1944. Copy painted ca. 1790. Item not exhibited.
The figure of a young woman turned to the right (three-quarters), depicted in an oval against a dark background. Her head and face are turned slightly to the right and are facing straight at the viewer. The woman has a pale oblong face, large, well-defined dark eyes and is gently smiling She has grey and brown powdered hair that covers her ears and curls visible at the back on her shoulders. The woman is dressed in a light blue gown with a deep neckline with a frilled edge.
The painting is in a gilded frame decorated with a decorative motif in the shape of a stylised palm leaf, arranged symmetrically and fan-shaped. Item not exhibited.
