The work is a record of the artist's life up to 1983, written in English. It tells the readers that Andrzej Dudek-Dürer believes in reincarnation, and is the incarnate of Albrecht Dürer. His artistic practice focuses on painting, printmaking, photography, fine art, interdisciplinary work, environment, metaphysical/telepathic activities, anti-poetry, music, constructing metaphysical instruments, performance, installations and more. The author then outlines a chronological list of the most important activities carried out in Poland and in the world. Some of them, such as Sztuka butów and Sztuka spodni have continued uninterrupted from 1969 to the present day wherever the artist – the living sculpture – appears. That year was a cut-off date in Dudek-Dürer's life, when his father died in an accident. This traumatic experience, and the death of his brother a few years later, caused him to undergo a process of positive disintegration – according to a concept coined by psychiatrist and philosopher Kazimierz Dąbrowski, which which led to the liberation of his new consciousness. After a few years of living in self-isolation, focusing exclusively on meditation and metaphysical travels, Dudek-Dürer returned to the world and meetings with other ephemeral art artists, including during plein-airs in Miastko, and his idea of being the seventh incarnation of the great Renaissance artist was gaining wider and wider acceptance. Today, he is one of the most original and well-known figures in contemporary Polish art.Andrzej Dudek-Dürer is the initiator of the International Metaphysical and Telepathic Projects. His musical compositions have been released on cassettes and records, used in various original projects, as well as in Polish Television productions. He has presented his work and taught at major contemporary art institutions around the world, and his pieces are exhibited in numerous private and public collections of art.
