Part of the collection: Photographs from the collection of Halina Kamińska (Mamelok) née Baruch
It is probably the oldest photograph in the collection. The workshop where this photograph was taken was established at the beginning of the 1880s and operated for twenty years - until the turn of the century (under the name of Conrad, also Konrad). Who is the man depicted? It can be assumed that this is an image of Markus Wolffsohn (Wolfson) from the early 1880s. - about ten years before Wolffsohn was photographed with his grandson Ignatius Koral, MPOLIN-A25.1.2). The man looks slightly different, however, certain physical features are very close, including the type of moustache. Halina née Baruch might not have recognized him (and write the question mark on the back, if it was put by her hand) - her memory goes back to the early 20th century.
