Part of the collection: Photographs from the collection of Halina Kamińska (Mamelok) née Baruch
The photograph of a young woman on a court, with a tennis racket, pasted on an advertising postcard - below the photograph printed: Sous bois au Mont Belerin and Peter's | The Original | Milk Chocolate. In black pen a short, hardly legible letter to the two-year-old Stanisław Maybaum (Marzyński), signed: Helena, so this is most likely a letter from Stanislaw's aunt Helena, née Grossman, sent from Geneva, as evidenced by two postmarks (by the stamp mark) dated 16.05.06, GENEVE. Address written in black ink: Monsieur Stanislaw Maybaum | And[...]a[?] 2 | Łódź | Pologne russe. | Helena Weksler née Grossman, was the younger sister of Stefania Grossman, she was born in 1888, died in 1963 in New York.
