A letter

A letter on a postcard of the Warsaw District of the Polish Red Cross, with a stamp removed; postal seals: Warsaw postal seal by the addresses and a distinct Soviet seal on the other side, additionally on the top left side with addresses a seal with the number 21520 - postal number? The card corners rounded. The letter is from Warsaw to Lutsk - from Regina Justman to her sister. Paulina and Artur Włodawer lived in Lutsk with Kasmans on 14 Czackiego st. The Justman family lived at 69 Pańska st., apartment 8 (in September 1939 they lived at 10 Twarda st., the apartment burnt down during the German air raid on 25 September, on the so-called Black Monday). Regina Justman writes at the beginning: I write to you every week hoping that one of the cards reaches you and reasures you. There is no earlier letter in the preserved correspondence, thus it may have been the first one that reached the hands of Paulina Włodawer. A further excerpt of the letter: I work and earn money. I am busy all day, from 9 am to 8 pm. Bluma and Leon are also doing very well. We have been living on our own for two weeks already, on Pańska Street. So far we are very satisfied with the room, and we pay relatively little. Leon's wedding will take place next week. He has already rented an apartment in Jadzia's house and even partially furnished it. [...] I do not know if you have already received news of his [Artur's editorial note] mother’s death . Artur Włodawer's parents lived at 45 Pańska Street.
