The palace of the Lubomirski princes was built at the end of the eighteenth century, its construction and current appearance are due to Princess Izabela Lubomirska, née Czartoryska, the owner of Łańcut. After buying the palace together with the entire town of Przeworsk and the surrounding villages from her daughters, in 1799 the works on the reconstruction of the palace began. The Princess brought her best architects, moulding artists and decorators to Przeworsk, all with her adopted son Henryk Ludwik Lubomirski in mind. The date of completion of the works is unknown, but it is known that after the marriage of Henryk Lubomirski to Teresa Czartoryska in 1807, the palace was ready to move into. A small palace was built in the style of English classicism with a relatively modest decoration delighted with its interior. It is located in a beautiful garden arrangement in the style of an English park with a natural undulating terrain. After the death of Princess Izabela Lubomirska, Henryk Ludwik chose the palace in Przeworsk as his family residence. After the creation of the Lubomirski family entail in Przeworsk, the palace in Przeworsk became the centre of cultural and social life. In 1850, the entire estate of Henryk Lubomirski was inherited by his son Jerzy Lubomirski, who died prematurely in 1872. After his first-born son Jerzy Lubomirski, Andrzej Lubomirski, came of age in 1882, he took over the estate, and modernized and renewed the palace.
The photograph shows the palace with the lush vegetation surrounding it on the eastern side. Along the alley leading to the palace, new plantings of deciduous trees are visible. Right next to the façade of the palace there is a gazebo. In the foreground of the photograph there is a dog of the Lubomirski family, Lord.
The photo comes from the album of the Lubomirski princes from Przeworsk.
