Dessert tray Rectangular tray supported on four legs in a frame. The surface of the mirror covered with black kuro – urushi lac, decorated with a landscape scene in gold and red tones with dark yellow accents. It depicts a bay merging into the land, a hill with a house with a rice straw roof and vegetation. Pavilion with a five-story roof can be seen as well. The tray is made of primed, lac-coated slats. Decorated with gold powder sputtering technique (maki-e). Japan, second half of middle Edo – second half of 18th century.
