In the home garrisons, the brigade units trained soldiers intensively, especially as many reservists who reached a high level of proficiency in summer and autumn left after partial demobilisation.
Photo DRM573 dates back to 1938–1939, similarly to photo DRM 1901_039. The photo shows the uniforms of the motor and armoured forces. Officers and mounted riflemen were wearing uniforms resembling those of the armoured units, i.e. double-breasted black leather jackets model 36, officers wore black coats lined with black cloth, breeches and long boots, while riflemen and non-commissioned officers wore trousers with clips and laced-up boots. The uniforms were combined with German helmets model 1916 or black berets model 37. To emphasise the “horse-riding origin”, spurs were worn in units of 10th Mounted Brigade.
Similar uniforms were worn by the riflemen of 10th Mounted Riflemen Regiment and 24th Lancers Regiment (DRM-573) during the parade in Rzeszów (ul. 3 Maja, 3rd May celebrations in 1938 or 1939), the parade is led by the posts of 10th Mounted Riflemen Regiment and 24th Regiment of Lancers from Kraśnik.
