Part of the collection: photography
The photograph, in the shape of a vertical rectangle, shows Archduchess Stephanie. The young woman is shown in bust. Her face is oval, her neck long and slender. The woman is wearing a white gown with a V-neck and a bow on her left shoulder. A white fur coat rests on her right shoulder and back. The bottom right corner has a black-ink inscription “Stephanie 1891”. She was the second daughter of Leopold II, King of the Belgians, and his wife Marie Henriette, Archduchess of Austria. Stephanie Coburg married Rudolf Habsburg and later, following his suicidal death, Elemér Lónyai. The reverse of the photograph is made of copper sheet with a support which enables to place it upright. It was acquired from the collection of the Potocki family of Łańcut in 1944.
