Part of the Łańcut Park

Part of the collection: photography

Popularization note

Fragment of the Łańcut park. The photograph depicts two identified persons, a woman and a man, on grass between green houses and the tennis court, the pergola of which is visible in the background; behind there is the roof of the riding house. The court was built in place of the palm house, demolished in the 1920s because it was damaged during World War I. From the direction of the riding house, the court is surrounded by a pergola – with battens on brick pillars in the ground floor, with a wooden, open work hand rail, and centrally, above the entrance, an open work, wooden cupola. The pergola was overgrown with wisteria, making it picturesque. From the northern side, roses were planted, and grass plains were created. Aldona Cholewianka-Kruszyńska
