Cup – small, faience, hemispherical, with a slightly defined foot, somewhat shorter than the other cups from the service. It is decorated with a wide strip of floral decoration, situated on the upper part of the vessel, with a two-colour poppy motif (the flower petals maroon-red, the leaves and stems dark green), running between two brown stripes. The upper stripe is wider than the lower one. The poppy pattern, applied using a stencil, consists of a cup-shaped flower standing between a pair of symmetrical leaves and stems. These stems, long and S-shaped, stretch far to the sides, ending in dormant buds. The outer surface of the cup draws attention due to local unevenness, indicating it was not sufficiently finished in the polishing workshop. Among all the cups preserved in the set, this one is particularly notable because only this bowl does not have the foot painted with a brown rim. On the underside of the foot, there are two green marks in stamped, underglaze print. One is the manufacturer's signature depicting an anchor in an oval, with the inscription S.B. and S /ENGLAND underneath, the other is the signature of the London store SOUTH AUDLEY ST/ T. GOODE&Co/ LONDON. W.
