Museum of the history of Polish Jews
Part of the collection: Photograph of Halina Olszewicka taken after her escape from the ghetto
Relic from the period of Olszewicka's stay under a false name on the so-called the Aryan side. A very important document, necessary to function 'above ground'. From Jerzy Olszewicki's memories: My sister had good credentials. She worked in a hospital in Solec and it was from there that she had an authentic work certificate, a pass. Such credentials (only the birth certificate was forged) were to give a greater sense of security' ('Losy Żydowskie. Świadectwo żywych', ed. M. Turski, Warszawa 1996).
