Part of the collection: Photography

Popularization note

Photograph. Castle. Courtyard with plane tree, 1930s. The photograph depicts a fragment of the courtyard with the plane tree, as developed between the 19th and the 20th centuries, in course of the upgrade works conducted at the time by the third ordinary of Łańcut, Roman Potocki, and his wife Elżbieta. In the foreground to the left we see a plane tree planted before 1816 in times of princess Izabella Lubomirska nee Czartoryska, surrounded by a low, wooden, multi-part bench of birch trunks. Right in front is the southern wall, in the ground floor with a gate running to the gate passage, to a route to the old 17th century inner courtyard, in the first floor we see divided windows of the Sculpture Gallery.
