Romantic Castle. Cabinet in the Tower on the 2nd floor

Description:
Situated next to the former road in the northern part of the park, outside the moat, the Small Castle, which ultimately had classicistic and neo-Gothic (in the spirit of romanticism) elevations, was erected between 1798 and 1802 by Jan Griesmeyer for Princess Izabela Lubomirska née Czartoryska (1736-1816). It was rebuilt in 1806 by Chrystian Piotr Aigner, together with the stucco artist Frederick Baumann. Charakterystycznym elementem architektury zameczku jest trzykondygnacyjna, mocno wysunięta wieża w narożu północno-wschodnim, pierwotnie będąca jedynie piętrowa basztą. After 1821, due to the placing of the estate administration in it, the castle was partially rebuilt. The Cabinet, located in the tower on the second floor, was built in the floor added in 1806 above the one-story dome to create a neo-Gothic bastion. It has a circular plan with two pointed-arched porte-fenêtre . In the south wall, there is a  classicistic fireplace made of black and grey marble. All walls have horizontal rustication. From the west, there is a semicircular recess with a spiral staircase leading from the Cabinet on the tower's first floor. The ceiling is crowned with a beam with masks and acanthus leaves with astragal, cymatium, palmettes and acanthus. A dome has a rotating rosette made of diamond-shaped coffers with rosettes in the top with an acanthus rosette in a band with laurel leaves.
