Part of the collection: The family memorabilia of Justmans and Włodawers
A letter on a postcard, with the stamp peeled off, torn off together with a part of the top layer of the card - on which the stamp was originally printed; visible fragment of a postal seal with a date: 15III40; a soviet postal seal onthe revers. It was written in Warsaw, as the family still lived at 69 Pańska Street (apt. 8) and sent to Lutsk (14 Czaskiego Street, at Mr. Kasman's). The content of the letter shows that the Justmans do not know whether the previous letters reached the Włodawers, hence the repeated information (especially that related to Lebek Justman's wedding, and move) that already occurred in the other, earlier, surviving letters from the other sister, Regina Justman. An excerpt from the letter: “We rented a beautiful room on 69 Pańska street, apt. 8. Furthermore, there is one more important news. Well, Lebek has already married Fajmylberówna. [...] At first Regina was pining for you. She probably wrote you hundreds of times (no exaggeration), but each time the post office had somehow failed. She's very busy right now, spending all of her days teaching English.
