Popularization note

The goblet was made in Saxony or in Poland in the middle of the 18th c. It is a goblet made of slightly straw-coloured glass, with a large, round, convex foot, a curled edge, a slender, hollow baluster stem, and a slightly conical bowl. The sides of the bowl are decorated with a row of carved rosettes, the base of the bowl and the stem with stripes of oval facets, and the edge of the bowl with two rows of oval facets.
