Part of the collection: Photographs from the collection of Halina Kamińska (Mamelok) née Baruch
A photograph of Kazimierz Baruch (1903-1943), son of Diana and Tadeusz Baruch, at the age of about five. He is sitting upright, looking into the lens, on a chair at a table on which stands a candle holder with candles and an empty narrow vase (?). The boy is wearing shorts and a large white collar overlapping the shoulders. We do not know where the photo was taken, perhaps in Pabianice, where the family probably lived at that time. In the background, we can see a wall with vertically striped wallpaper and framed paintings or photographs, as well as a large white door: this is a living room. The photo was hung unframed as it bears visible traces of thumbtacks or pins.
