A letter on the stationery with the imprint: WOLF FILSZELSON - crossed out, in place, where date should be, an imprint: on .... 193 ...... - date filled in, with correction of the third digit. This is a letter from Regina Justman, with a note from Bluma Justman. The letter written on the 4th wedding anniversary of Paulina and Artur Włodawer. Regina Justman writes: “I think about you every evening when, after a day of work, I come home feeling cold and hungry. I walk for a long time, the cold is strong, the streets are empty and black, and I am pushing forward with perseverance, happy if I have collected a few zlotys - and I am hoping that maybe I will find a letter from Siberia at home. And today my dreams have come true. Three letters awaited me - two from Mank, one from Artek. [...] I do my best as far as the package is concern, but it is much more difficult than before. I really cannot understand what it means that you both earn well and that you need help from Mank, Lutsk, etc. [...] On 18 December 1941, you will probably not be in the barracks anymore. Should I wish you to spend it in Warsaw? I would love to meet with you here again, exactly here, to go together on a summer morning to Łazienki or to the Botanical Garden and to have ice cream at Ziemiańska. We are equally distant from these delights: you in Siberia, me in Warsaw. [...] My parents are still fine, only my mother is very thin and looks very bad. [...] It is worse than last year as far as money is concern, but maybe we will get through it somehow .
