A bracket type cabinet clock with minute, quarter, half hour, hour, day of the month indications. The mechanism has a separate spring drive for the running function, quarter-hour and hour striking functions. The mechanism has a horizontal spindle winding with a short pendulum of the heavy type. The hours and half-hours are struck on two bells using a comb system with a pinwheel regulator. The drive is regulated by a balance drum with Gall-type chains. The clock is equipped with repeaters. The case is in the form of a simple glass cabinet on four sides topped with a box-shaped roof, decorated with a stepped cornice and six brass pinnacles. The glazed doors at the front and back give access to the dial and mechanism. The dial in the shape of the dials of English longcase clocks, with an arcade in which are the enamelled circular plaques of the striking and repetition locks and the signature plaque. The main circular enamel dial with indication markings is surrounded by brass ornament at the corners. Carved wooden mouldings decorate the edges of the façade door and the front corners of the cabinet.
There are acoustic openings in the side walls and upper corners of the façade.
The construction of the cabinet and its decoration show a number of features indicative of its interesting history, requiring modifications to the case.
