Part of the collection: Photographs from the collection of Halina Kamińska (Mamelok) née Baruch
This photograph, developed in an oval white frame and pasted on an original lithographed cardboard box, is one of several portraits of Stanisław Maybaum (Marzyński) as a child in the collection. It is possible that the child portraits of Stanisław were found in the archives of Halina Mamelok, née Baruch, together with photographs left by Diana Baruch, a cousin of Stanisław's mother, Stefania Maybaum (Marzyńska). We do not know who the child with whom he was photographed is: Mich[ał?] is probably one of Stanislaw's Częstochowa cousins, from the Grossman family. The photo was probably taken during the visit of Stefania née Grossman Maybaum (Marzyńska) and the child at her parents' (grandparents') house in Częstochowa, from where she came. | The photograph was slightly cropped, perhaps in order to be placed in the frame.
