Popularization note

Brush belonging to a set of fireplace utensils from the collection of the Potocki family; it comes from the 19th century. It consists of a movable handle, a shaft, a rolled ring in which the bristles, i.e. the proper brush, are embedded. The movable circular handle allows the brush bristles to be extended and retracted into the cylindrical ring. The ring at the top is decorated with a stylised flower, the shaft is round, decorated with transverse indentations. The proper brush is made of natural bristles set on a wooden ring. The brush is part of a fireplace set decorating one of the residential interiors on the first floor of the castle.
