3rd quarter of the 19th century
Castle Museum in Łańcut
Part of the collection: Clocks
Standing mantel clock with a personification of fertility and Rococo elements. The casing was made from repoussé gilded bronze joined with a box made of the same material. The clock's base is adorned with an openwork ornament passing into three fancifully curved legs shaped like scrolls at the corners and with floral elements in the centre. The back legs are unadorned; they were made of bent sheet metal. In the centre, there is a rosette with an engraved floral ornament. The entire clock was decorated with symmetrically arranged rocaille and floral motif. At the top of the clock's casing is a semi-plastically modelled figure of a young barefoot woman dressed in drapery. Her right hand rests on a plough, while her left had holds up a bunch of fruit. In the background of the relief, a depiction of a field and a beehive; next to it a discarded sheaf. Black Roman numerals on a white dial.
