The rectangular photograph shows a young man half length. He is Prince George of Kent. The prince was a member of the British royal family, the fourth son and fifth child of King George V and Queen Mary. Born in 1902. Served in the Royal Navy from 1919 to 1929. In 1934, he married Marina, a Greek princess who was his cousin. In 1937, he visited Łańcut, where he was received and hosted by the last private owner Alfred III Potocki. On 25 August 1942, he died in an RAF plane crash on the slopes of Mount Morven in Scotland. The man has an oval face with a bit high cheekbones. The left part of the photograph shows a mirror reflecting the photographed person. The man is wearing a dark stripy suit and white shirt with a dark tie. On his left wrist, he has a bracelet. Inscription in black ink in the bottom right corner of the photograph: “Darling Princes from Geroges July 1938”. The passe-partout features the signature of the famous English photographer Benton. It was acquired from the collection of the Potocki family of Łańcut in 1944.
