Invitation to the Clerks' Casino for a carnival party on 4 January 1936 – the Japanese Night – by the Association of Academic Provincial Youth, Łańcut Circle in Lviv. In the interwar period, the Clerks' Casino was one of the three casinos serving the local elite – in addition to two military ones. As part of its activities, it organized various events such as lectures and dancing parties. All kinds of games, except gambling, were allowed on its premises. It also ran a library and a reading room. Above all, the main area of its activities included entertainment and social meetings, for which it was established – thus, it served as a closed social club intended, in this case, for the officials of the Ordynacja and other representatives of the Łańcut intelligentsia affiliated with the Casino Society founded around 1880. It was an elite institution, with the list of members limited by the fees, making it a place for the richest strata. Officers were also invited to numerous parties, card games, artistic performances and occasional official events. The Casino premises were also made available for charitable events, such as Christmas meetings for poor children, during which Countess Elżbieta Potocka presented the them with gifts. The building of the Clerks' Casino was funded by the Potocki family and erected in 1893-1894, according to the design of architect Julian Cybulski. Joanna Kluz
