Jug - a small faience jug with a rounded base and a short spout with a wide throat, which is elongated at one point by a triangular end. On the axis of the spout, there is an arched handle with a slight bump at the top. A two-coloured poppy-flower motif (burgundy-red petals, dark green leaves and stems) extends around in a wide strip on the convex surface. This pattern consists of a single, cup-shaped poppy standing between a pair of leaves and two pairs of flower buds. The buds, positioned on long, flexible stems, extend far to the sides and at certain point change direction to the opposite. The edge of the spout and foot is bordered with a brown stripe. On the underside of the foot, there are two green marks in stamped print. One is the manufacturer's signature, depicting an anchor in an oval, with the inscription S. B. and S/ENGLAND underneath. Next to it is the signature of the London store: SOUTH AUDLEY ST./T GOODE CO/ LONDON. Next to it is the flower painter’s mark in the form of a burgundy short line.
