Flute

The drinking flute was made in an unspecified Polish glass factory in the third quarter of the 18th c. It is made of clear glass, with a round foot and a heavy, facetted baluster stem. It has a slender, conical bowl with vertical facets engraved at the base and around the edge. The bowl is decorated with a carved double cartouche with the following coats of arms: Pilawa - Józef Potocki, the Great Krajczy of the Crown, and Topór - Teresa from the Ossoliński family; the coats of arms are placed on a background with a panoply motif. The cartouche is topped with a noble crown. Below the cartouche, the is an ornamental strip with a geometric and plant motif.
