Japanese tortoiseshell fruit stand decorated with a golden crane flying over a bay motif. Round, made of a thin sheet of tortoiseshell carved and modelled to look like an eight-leaf rosette. Landscape shown in central field, carved and decorated with nacre of haliotis snail –aogai incrustation technique. Six small rocks around the image, a rock and a bird made in relief out of plastic mass (sumi charcoal and liquid lac resin seshime, on top of this red e-urushi lac and gold dust – takamakie technique.
