First version of lettering for the comic, sheet 3 (for “After my father’s death”)
2011
Museum of the history of Polish Jews
Part of the collection: Original comic art of “Golden Bees” by Monika Powalisz and Zosia Dzierżawska
The second page original art. It shows tzadik Mendel Kalisz – in typical attire – walking in his dream around the Jewish neighbourhood of Warsaw (Mendel Kalisz decided to move the Otwock tzadiks to Warsaw). The attention of the reader is drawn by the eye-catching parts of the first panel: the accumulated signs, houses and elements of the city architecture typical for a teeming, mercantile district.
