Flute

Chalice – flute The flute chalice was made in an unknown Polish glassworks in the 4th quarter of the 18th century. This is a cup of the English type, with a round, flat, large foot, with a tall, straight rhomboid ground stem and a cylindrical bowl. The edge of the bowl is decorated all around with an engraved pattern of “broomsticks” and festoons. The collection of the Castle Museum in Łańcut includes a chalice – flute of similar form and decoration, with a different lower shaft and a smaller foot (inv. no. S. 1358 MŁ). Barbara Trojnar
