Part of the collection: Ceramics
Porcelain vase made in the Royal Porcelain Factory in Berlin. It was created in 1763 after Frederick the Great took over Ernst Gotzkowsky's factory. The vase is slender, widening at the mouth into a wide, flat lip. Coated with brown glaze. Set in a rich, gilded bronze frame with classicist motifs: stylised acanthus leaves forming handles connected by a hoop and a garland of leaves and flowers. Barbara Trojnar
