A small bronze sculpture presents a soldier running to attack. The figure is dressed in the uniform of Austro-Hungarian soldiers from World War I, as evidenced by the headgear with a characteristic button with the letters FJI (Franz Joseph I). A soldier equipped with full gear, runs holding the rifle with both hands in the place of the barrel, the butt outwards. The rifle belt flutters in the wind, giving the impression of a dynamic movement that intensifies the depiction of the character on the run with one leg in contact with the ground and the other leaning back. The impression of movement and emotion is intensified by the way the face is depicted with the lips parted in a shout.

On the calves it has characteristic, long wrappers, which came into use in the Austrian army at the end of 1914, thus replacing cloth straps and leggings.

The sculpture comes from the Potocki collection and it is exhibited in the Ordynat's Office.
