Legitimacy of Halina Olszewicka's 2nd Polish Corps Commemorative Badge

Popularization note

The cover shows the badge of the 2nd Polish Corps and the trail that it traveled from the USSR to Italy. The badge was designed by two brothers from an assimilated Jewish family: Leopold (born as Chaskiel Springer) and Zygmunt Haar (probably Aron Salomon Springer), who served in the 2nd Polish Corps.
