Plate

A dinner service plate The faience dinner plate was made in the famous English Wedgwood ceramics manufactory in Burslem (Staffordshire). The manufactory belonged to Josiah Wedgwood (1730-1795) in the second half of the 18th century. The plate is decorated with the black, grey and yellow Etruria pattern. A classicist vase with yellow flowers is depicted in the centre of the plate mirror. The collar is bordered with a motif of laurel leaves surrounded by black stripes with yellow inserts. The plate was part of a dinner service, not preserved in the museum, found in the collection of the last owners of the Łańcut Castle, the Potockis.
