Photograph of unrecognised woman
1910 — 1927
Museum of the history of Polish Jews
Part of the collection: Photographs from the collection of Halina Kamińska (Mamelok) née Baruch
The photograph of an unrecognized woman, glued on a lithographed cardboard box from Maximilian Kohn's atelier in Częstochowa, with the photographer's signature and the city on the obverse in gold. It is a bust; the woman is shown in an incomplete profile. She is in her mid-twenties, wearing a light-coloured blouse with a collar tight to her neck, underneath a decorative brooch. Her dark, frizzy hair is pinned back, raised above her forehead. In all probability, this is the same woman as in the photograph MPOLIN-A25.1.97, slightly older.
