Popularization note
Fan of ostrich feathers of tortoiseshell frame, composed of sixteen main feathers and two lining feathers. Cover made of white ostrich feathers. Frame ribs in the shape of elongated, curved blades. One of them bears a silver monogram (difficult to read). All feathers at the base connected by wire, with a movable semi-circular tortoiseshell loop.
