A floor clock in a three-part longcase type cabinet case, comprising an overlapping hood which houses the mechanism with clock face, a slightly narrower body with narrow doors, set on a high plinth supported by four block feet housing the pendulum and weights. The hood with glazed door and sides. The top of the hood is topped with a decorative dashed cornice, surmounted by volutes with three pinnacles – one in the break of the crowning cornice, two on straight pedestals. The surface is veneered with walnut. The body door is inlaid with a ribbon ornament composition and a glazed opening for control of the pendulum movement, decorated with a brass rococo frame, with a figural representation of the scene of the abduction of Europe.
The mechanism with weight drive, hook catch and with a long, heavy pendulum. A separate drive runs the clock and calendar mechanism, a separate one for striking the hours, and a separate carillon playing two melodies (minuet and march). Clock with indications of seconds, minutes, quarters, hours and days of the month. On the dial there are silvered indication rings: the main ring with indications of hours, half-hours and minutes. A separate small ring is placed in the inner field of the dial (above the axis) with seconds indications. At the bottom of the central field, a calendar window with the number of the next day of the month is visible. In the arcade, which crowns the dial, there is a ring, which changes the melody of the carillon, marked with inscriptions: “Menuett – March”. The hands are open-worked. The dial has a carillon lock and repeat. The back of the dial face is engraved with the dates and names of those who carried out the inspections and repairs.
