The history of the discovery of the described monument began with field works in Klementowice (Puławy poviat), which unfortunately partially destroyed the stone structure. As it turned out later, it was the tomb of the globular amphora culture.

The community of this culture lived in the area of ​​the present Lublin region about 4,500 years ago. Their name comes from the characteristic form of a vessel with a spherical bottom.

It is assumed that the people of this culture dealt with itinerant pastoralism, raising mainly cattle and setting up small camps. Most of the information about them is obtained during the examination of cemeteries.

An interesting fact is that the community of the globe amphora culture did not hide only people in its cemeteries, often combined burials - people and animals, as well as the graves of animals themselves are often found. So you can see how important a role was played by animal husbandry, both in the life and in the beliefs of people of that time.

A monument of interest to us was discovered in one of such cemeteries. In one of the four graves at site 2 in Klementowice, a double-sided bone blade was found among the numerous furnishings. As you can see in the photo, it has a spindle shape. It has not survived to our times in perfect condition, both blades are chipped, and they had to be glued together from several parts.

What was such a double-sided blade for? When placed on the end of a spar, it could have been a spearhead. We cannot exclude the possibility that it was simply a very handy tool, helpful in all kinds of farm work.
