Part of the collection: Retrieving the forgotten. „Pływalnia” Rafała Jakubowicza
The large-format colour photograph was taken during the action of displaying the Hebrew inscription בריכת-שחײה (Brechat schija, swimming pool) on a public building in Poznań in 2003. The photograph shows the building of the former New Synagogue, which served as a city swimming pool in the year of the creation of the work. The print made on an aluminium Dibond composite panel, according to the author's idea, is the most important part of the work Pływalnia (MPOLIN-M1379/1-4).
