Glass with the coat of arms of Szreniawa and monogram LL

Part of the collection: Glass

Popularization note

The drinking glass was made in an unspecified Polish glass factory at the beginning of the 19th c. It is made of clear glass, has a large foot with a curled edge and a tall, smooth stem with an elongated air bubble inside. On the front, the conical bowl is decorated with a carved Lubomirski-Szreniawa coat of arms, placed on a background of an ermine coat; above the shield, there is a royal mitre. On the back wall of the glass, there is a carved monogram 'LL' framed by a stylised plant twig and topped with a crown. The glass represents an 18th century-type product. In the Łańcut Castle Museum's collection, there are four such glasses. Barbara Trojnar
