Part of the collection: Photograph of Halina Olszewicka taken after her escape from the ghetto
The 2nd Polish Corps was transferred to Great Britain between June and October 1946. Halina Olszewicka went there in August. After the disbandment of the Polish Armed Forces, many of its soldiers remained in Great Britain. Halina decided to return to the Poland in May 1947. After her return, she was assigned to the Polish People's Army.
