Flute

The drinking flute was made in an unspecified Polish glass factory at the end of the 18th c. The glass has a large, round foot, a baluster stem, and a slender, conical bowl. On the front, the bowl is decorated with a carved shield with the Potocki-Pilawa coat of arms, placed among lambrequins, topped with a crown with five ostrich feathers placed on a barred helmet. On the back wall, in a rectangular frame with cut corners, there are two, added at a later date, escutcheons with count crowns: the Jastrzębiec coat of arms and an unidentified one; below there are the initials MWK. In the centre of the bowl, there is an ornament with a geometric plant motif. By the edge of the bowl, there is a geometric fringe ornament.
