Description:
Situated next to the former road in the northern part of the park, outside the moat, the Small Castle, which ultimately had classicistic and neo-Gothic (in the spirit of romanticism) elevations, was erected between 1798 and 1802 by Jan Griesmeyer for Princess Izabela Lubomirska née Czartoryska (1736-1816). It was rebuilt in 1806 by Chrystian Piotr Aigner, together with the stucco artist Frederick Baumann. A characteristic element of the castle's architecture is a three-storey, strongly protruding tower in the northeast corner, initially only a two-storey tower. After 1821, due to the placing of the estate administration in it, the castle was partially rebuilt.
The main room located on the first floor, together with the alcove facing west (which was enlarged in 1806 by the reworking of the wall separating the interior, the alcove was initially a terrace), occupies the entire width of the building. The alcove is separated from the main part by a wide rectangular passage supported at the corners by acanthus consoles. All doors have overdoors decorated with acanthus ridge in a symmetrical arrangement; two analogous to overdoors panels are located in the upper part of the northwest corner of the main hall. Wall panels are framed by astragalus. The alcove walls and the northern part of the main hall are crowned with a cornice composed of astragal, cymatium, egg-and-dart and acanthus A rosette of acanthus leaves with a band of oak leaves is placed in the ceiling. On the north wall, there is a classical fireplace made of brown and red marble.
