Part of the collection: Photograph of Halina Olszewicka taken after her escape from the ghetto
Certificate issued to Halina Olszewicka by the State Repatriation Office in Gdańsk. In 1946, the British government, in agreement with the Provisional Government of National Unity, demobilised the Polish military units in Great Britain. Soldiers who decided to return to the country were obliged to report to repatriation points controlled by the Polish Repatriation Office. Halina Olszewicka passed through the reception point in Gdańsk, from where she was directed to Białystok.
