Part of the collection: Correspondence from Emilia Endler Ratz
The letter from Halina Altman to Emilia Ratz on four ruled pages (half sheets of stationery). From the contents: Yesterday I received Mila's old letters, one from 6 May, the other from 9 June. The post office has not been sending us letters regularly for some time, which is why we are only now getting the old ones. Each of your letters makes me very happy, even if it is the oldest one. Marcin's photograph gave me particular joy; I thank him warmly for it. [...] Photographs, to which I did not attach much importance before the war, are now my greatest treasure. I will never forgive myself that I do not have a single photograph of my loved ones, whom I will never see again. | Milos! My case for which I'm killing myself, the case of my dismissal, should be settled in the near future. In this case, I'll go to Warsaw for a short while, and then I'll move to £ód¼ to study at the Technical University. How it will look like exactly - I don't know. How are you getting on with your arrival in the country? I hope I'll see you for sure before the winter, you'll get settled in the country somehow. There will be enough work.
