Popularization note

Copper vase with round base and wide neck. The surface of the vase is covered with cellular cloisonné enamel – a decorative technique that involves filling various multicolored enamel "cells" formed on the surface of the decorated object using soldered metal strips or wires. On a rusty red background there are stylized floral motifs in blue, cobalt, white, purple and green. The inside of the neck, bottom, and straps around the base are gilded. The object comes from China and dates to the 18th/19th century.
