Description:
A residential interior, on the ground floor in the west wing, arranged in the 1780s in times of Prince Stanisław Lubomirski, GMC and his wife, Duchess Izabella née Czartoryska (1736-1815) in the original 17th-century vaulted interiors of the Łańcut castle erected by Prince Stanisław Lubomirski (1583-1649), the first member of this family to own Łańcut. It had an entrance in the eastern wall and two windows in the western, rectangular, and a barrel-cross vault. Blue walls covered with an illusionist architectural decoration, alfresco, probably by Vincenzo Brenna in the 1780s - pilasters with cornices supporting a profiled cornice. On the pilasters, a colourful arabesque-grotesque candelabra decoration with a floral flagellum motif, and on the semicircular shield walls, a colourful decoration with a flagellum motif in a symmetrical arrangement on a blue background. In the fields between the pilasters on the eastern wall, there are two ovals of an unknown author, two views of the Łańcut castle, painted in the 1830s. From the north - a perspective of the castle after the rebuilding by Aigner, around 1800, from the south - view from before the castle's reconstruction in 1780. Decorative panelling in the window frames is painted in the same way as in the Ordinate's Cabinet. Classicist single-leaf door from the first half of the 19th century with grotesque-arabesque painted decorations on the panels. The floor from the 1830s, designed by Karol Chodziński, is made of oak stave with a rosette made of sycamore and walnut in the centre, with a motif of a flagellum and palmette. A classicist fireplace in the southwest corner, probably designed by Christian Piotr Aigner, moved from the 2nd floor, made of grey marble inlaid with pink, with a cast iron plate from the end of the 18th century with a monogram of Stanisław Lubomirski.
