Putto on the main bridge

Part of the collection: Photography

Popularization note

Main bridge. Fragment The photograph depicts a putto figure holding a ball. The putti, one of two, decorates the main bridge, erected during the upgrade works at the Łańcut residence, conducted by the third ordinary, Roman Potocki, and his wife, Elżbieta nee Radziwiłł between the 19th and the 20th centuries. At that time, a new bridge was erected in place of the former, made of stone, with side guards shaped as putti and eagles as well as vases, in which between Spring and Autumn decorative plants were potted.
