Owidiusz

The sculpture, made of alabaster, is a bust of a man presented en face. His face, with a prominent long, straight nose, unnaturally widens upwards. Large, protruding ears are partially hidden under short, curly hair. A few wrinkles are visible on his forehead, near the nose, and around the mouth. The head rests on a short neck, and below is a broad, bare torso. The inscription "OVIDIO" is engraved on the base. The entire bust is set on a round, profiled pedestal made of dark green marble with grey and brown spots.
